Pura ini terletak di pinggir danau Batur untuk memuja Ida Sang Hyang Widi Wasa dalam manifestasinya sebagai Bhatara Hyang Gangga. Masyarakat memiliki kepercayaan pada Dewi Danuh maka pada saat upacara agama tertentu masyarakat datang untuk memohon air suci di pura Jati Batur.
This temple is located on the edge of Lake Batur to worship Ida Sang Hyang Widi Wasa in its manifestation as Bhatara Hyang Gangga. The community has trust in Dewi Danuh, so during certain religious ceremonies the community comes to beg for holy water in the Jati Batur temple.

Beautiful place. You will be hassled about getting a guide on your way down there. Get the guide, the trek up is unmarked and difficult. A guide will make it a lot easier. Plus, the guide will tell you about the mountain and be very helpful.
